British retailer Sainsbury’s is cutting the price of unleaded fuel by 2 pence per litre across its 300 forecourts from today.
The news follows on from several price cuts on diesel from the supermarket chain this summer.
Sainsbury's customers will be able to collect Nectar points on every fill-up, one point on every litre purchased.
Speaking on the price drop, Avishai Moor, head of fuel at Sainsbury’s, said, “Diesel prices reached a record low this summer, so it’s great to now see good news for drivers using petrol cars. We know that fuel is a big expense and we are committed to helping our customers go further for less.”
