Serbian food retailer Univerexport has started construction work on its new distribution centre, located near Novi Sad.
The company is investing €16 million for the first stage of the project, which should be completed in April 2017.
Most of the 30,000-square-metre area will be occupied by a warehouse that is intended for storing goods for distribution via the company’s retail and wholesale channels.
Univerexport, which celebrated 25 years of activity last year, currently has 130 stores in different formats across the northern Serbian province of Vojvodina and in the capital, Belgrade.
