Italian supermarket chain Simply has launched an online store, initially available to customers in the city of Milan and surrounding areas.
After accessing SpesaSimply, consumers can purchase their shopping online, choosing the day and time for home delivery, at a fee.
Also, the site offers a click-and-collect service at no extra cost where customers can choose the store and time they wish to collect to avoid queues. This service is currently available in two supermarkets, with five more to be added by the end of June.
SpesaSimply offers about 7,000 products, of which 1,500 are from its private label brand, but the number of SKUs is set to grow to 10,500 by 2017.
Simply is owned by Auchain Retail Italia, the local unit of French retailer Auchan.
