Dutch wholesaler and retailer Sligro Food Group has made the top ten in the recent 'Best Employers 2016' survey in the Netherlands.
Overall, the group finished in eighth place, but in the category of Retail and Wholesale Trade, it came third, with a score of 7.6 out of ten.
The 'Best Employers' survey is carried out every year by survey specialists Effectory and business magazine Intermediair among employers in the Netherlands. Per company, a minimum of 500 employees need to take part in the survey to represent the company fairly.
This year's survey was filled out by 224,567 employees from 313 organisations. Criteria to rate the employers included the company's (career) support for employees, the employees' general satisfaction with their jobs, and the organisation and availability of career opportunities.
Logistics company Vanderlande, Ikea and shoe-shop chain Van Haren Schoenen, respectively, took gold, silver and bronze for the best employers in the Netherlands.
