Spanish Consumers Prefer To Do Their Shopping In Supermarkets

According to a study conducted by several citizens' organisations, and Mercadona, the majority of Spanish consumers prefer supermarkets for their frequent shopping.

As reported by invertia.com, the main three attributes, consumers prioritise when choosing the place to do their shopping, are quality, which 20% of respondents considered key; price, with 18% identifying it as their number one reason, and proximity, the main factor for 17% of people.

When choosing a food product, 71% of consumers considers quality first followed by price, while 50% judges by quality only and 21% by price. Women tend to care slightly more about quality (54%) than men (45%).
