Spar Albania is planning to open four new supermarkets in Korça, Elbasan, Lezha and Tirana over the next few months.
Spar has been present in the Albanian market for almost a year and already operates three Interspar hypermarkets and 23 Spar supermarkets throughout the country.
Expansion Plans
Last year, the licence for Spar in Albania was granted to Almark, a private company owned by the Baltic Finance Investment Group (Balfin).
Balfin Group is planning to invest over €50 million in expanding the network. It intends to open over 100 supermarkets and 10 hypermarkets, with the aim of becoming the largest grocery retailer in the country.
In Albania, Spar offers local consumers a range of Western products, sourced from countries such as Germany, Austria, Italy, and The Netherlands.
