Spar Australia has opened two new stores which are located on the Sunshine Coast - one in Woombye and the other in Palmwoods.
The stores are conversions of existing supermarkets that have both been trading under the Spar brand since April.
The two stores have been offering weekly special promotions that are tailored to customer needs, and Spar says it is ‘bringing disenfranchised locals back into the stores’.
Loyalty Programme
Spar has also introduced a loyalty rewards programme in both stores. This will give customers the ability to ‘support local community organisations by donating their points, or a percentage thereof, to nominated beneficiaries’.
Any points that customers had accumulated under the previous banner will be honoured and transferred over to the new Spar loyalty programme.
The stores will feature all the familiar facilities of a Spar store - full-service deli, a fresh meat counter, a full grocery range, and a general merchandise range.
