Spar Austria has marked the graduation of 86 trainees, which have recently successfully completed a three-year training programme, with a ceremony at the Spar headquarters in Wörgl (Austria).
At the same occasion, a further eleven apprentices were awarded the title of 'Master', a degree created by Spar and modeled on similar qualifications in the craft sector.
Spar Austria currently trains 350 apprentices in the districts of Tyrol and Salzburg, out of a total of 2,700 trainees nationwide. The training programme consists of seminars on retail theory and hands-on retail training at Spar supermarkets, located in Kufstein and Salzburg.
"At Spar, we take the training and encouragement of our apprentices seriously. Receiving numerous awards for our programmes in the past has filled us with pride and has confirmed our commitment to apprenticeship training," said Dr. Christof Rissbacher, managing director of Spar Tirol and Salzburg, explaining that the comprehensive three-year training course gives access to a range of job opportunities in the sectors of management and retail.
