Spar Austria has announced the opening of a new Eurospar supermarket in Wolfsberg-St.Johann.
The new store, which has replaced a former Spar supermarket at the same location, now features around 1,000 square metres of retail space and an extended car park.
To reduce the environmental impact of its operations, the store has been fitted with energy-saving LED lighting, a heat-recovery system for its refrigerators and a photovoltaic solar power system.
Although the store will carry a range of imported products, fresh and regional produce, including fruit and veg, meats, cheese, noodles, pastries and wine will be its main focus.
"We are very happy to officially open this magnificent Eurospar market, and express our thanks to all those involved, above all to our customers, who stayed loyal to us throughout the construction process," said Paul Bacher, managing director of Spar Kärnten and Osttirol.
