Spar Austria has announced the reopening of its store in Lochau, on the coast of Lake Constance.
The revamped store is focused on offering a generous service area with several regional products across 800 square metres.
The new shop has wider and more open aisles and a bright shopping atmosphere, according to the retailer.
"We want to create a welcoming, open market, which invites you both to enjoyably browse through fresh delicacies and offers the opportunity to do your weekly shop,” said Gerhard Ritter, managing director of Spar Vorarlberg.
Fine Food
There is a special focus on the fine food department, which forms the heart of the new store. There, meat, sausage and cheese specialties are presented by highly-trained employees.
Instead of long counters, the store now has an open marketplace atmosphere with smaller unit.
“The customer’s eye is drawn to the food,” Ritter continued. “Because we are not just about expertise and guaranteed regional freshness, but also about making shopping an experience.”
The store employs a team of 31 people and opens every day at 7.15 am.
Austria’s Interspar recently started introducing reusable and machine washable polyester net bags for loose fruit and veg.
Spar Austria also began implementing a dedicated health, nutrition and wellbeing section across the country.
