SPAR has announced that it has opened a new supermarket in the Zhangjiakou city in China’s Hebei province.
It is the twelfth new SPAR outlet to open in China since 13 March 2020.
The retailer has opened new outlets in various formats such as hypermarkets, supermarkets and convenience stores in the provinces of Guangdong, Beijing, and Shandong.
Store Highlights
The new store in Zhangjiakou is spread across an area of 1,900 square metres and offers a wide range of regional and local products.
These include fresh produce, premium quality meat, pastries, snacks, and regionally sourced fresh seafood.
Customers could avail of special offers on a range of products at the opening ceremony on 23 July.
SPAR Shandong also offered ¥5 coupons to shoppers who registered as SPAR e-members in a bid to promote its customer loyalty programme.
The coupons can be redeemed on the purchase of groceries at the store, the retailer added.
