Spar Georgia has announced that it has opened a new supermarket in Ortachala, a suburb of Tbilisi.
The new Spar supermarket replaces an existing store at the same location, and has a retail area of around 234 square metres.
Its new store format includes a Food-To-Go deli, a traditional Georgian bakery, a large fresh produce section and a meat counter.
The lay-out follows the Spar International template with regards to design, in-store communication and the assortment, which includes the Spar branded ranges.
Spar International currently has 21 stores in Georgia, some of which are operated by independent retailers.
