Spar Greece has announced that it has entered into a partnership with supermarket operator Bazaar S.A.
It is a member of the Veroukas Group, and operates more than 150 supermarkets and 11 cash and carry stores across the country.
Bazaar will provide logistics support to Spar Hellas and launch new Spar branded stores, the retailer said.
'Dynamic And Comprehensive'
Commenting on the partnership, managing director of Spar Greece, Fivos Karakitsos, said, "Spar Hellas with the support of Bazaar and the Veroukas Group now offers the most dynamic and comprehensive commercial proposal for middle-market retail stores.
"We have the power of the global Spar Brand, strong marketing strategies, a nationwide distribution network, a full range of own-brand products, as well as competitive benefits and prices. By joining forces, we are sure to create an even stronger Spar presence in Greece."
The partnership will see Bazaar open four Spar Supermarkets in 2020, adding to its current network of 31 stores launched since Spar Hellas became a partner in March 2018.
Spar Hellas also expects to improve its business in Greece through this partnership, which will focus on ensuring excellence for valued customers through high-quality services and competitive pricing.
