Spar Hungary has renovated its store at Kerepesi ut 73 in Budapest for more than HUF 750 million (€2.4 million), the company announced Thursday.
“We congratulate SPAR Hungary on their ongoing development and particularly their innovation in this market," said Tobias Wasmuht, Spar international managing director.
The new store boasts a sales area of 1,760 metres square which offers a new delicatessen counter and bakery. As well as a self-service salad bar and prepared sandwiches, customers can enjoy a variety of grilled dishes, freshly-made meals and pizzas at the Spar-to-go restaurant.
Also, Spar's revamped store has included measures to increase sustainability and efficiency. It uses LED lightning and has installed new doors for the refrigeration equipment, as well as a new heat pump heating and cooling system.
Spar Hungary has renovated a total of 21 stores.
