Spar Hungary has completed the renovation of two of its Budapest outlets. The stores were modernised for an overall investment of over 500 million HUF (€1.6 million).
The two newly-renovated supermarkets are 851 square metres, and 168 square metres in size, respectively. New cooling equipment and furniture, as well as an in-store bakery, were added during the reconstruction. LED lighting was also installed to lower energy usage.
Continued Expansion
During the first half of 2017, Spar Hungary implemented major developments in eight of its stores. In addition, 13 new outlets have been added to the existing network of 129 stores during the first five months.
Last month, Spar Hungary reported that its sales in 2016 grew by 4.6% to €1.65 billion, following a continued expansion and modernisation plan.
