Spar Netherlands has announced a number of new appointments to its purchasing team, as the retailer seeks to 'speed up its growth'.
Patrick van der Zanden, who has been appointed to the retailer's south-western region, commenced his role on 1 May, having worked as a project manager at Sligro in the past. He also worked for several years at C1000.
Elsewhere, Jochem Vos, who will take responsibility for the southern region, commences his role on 1 June, having worked with a number of independent entrepreneurs in the past.
In addition, Lijn Smits – currently a Spar Netherlands employee – will make the switch to the purchasing team, taking responsibility for the northern region, following the departure of Bastin Panneman.
Oscar Meelhuysen, the point of contact for the western region, and Johan Knol, who is responsible for recruitment and selection, retain their positions at the retailer.
"With the [...] expansion, Spar can facilitate further growth," the company said.
