Spar Netherlands has announced that it has opened a new supermarket in the southern city of Breda.
The new outlet offers a complete supermarket assortment including fresh ingredients for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
It also offers a range of convenience food and drinks for on-the-go consumption.
The new store, owned by Djordy de Nooijer, is the third Spar city outlet in Breda.
Renovated Store In Diepenheim
The retailer has also opened a renovated Spar supermarket in Diepenheim in the province of Overijssel.
The store has expanded its offering of fresh fruit and vegetables, bread, pastries, and cakes.
It also offers a larger assortment of locally-sourced cheese, dairy products, and locally-brewed beer.
The store, owned by independent retailers Gerreke and Albert Kleis, is equipped with sustainable technologies, including a new CO2 cooling system, LED lighting, and a heat recovery pump.
Online Shopping Service
Online shopping service is an added convenience in the renovated store, which also houses a seating area where customers can enjoy a freshly made cup of coffee and other refreshments such as sandwiches, smoothies, and yoghurt.
The seating area will also be used to host community meetings and other gatherings, the retailer said.
