Spar Netherlands has announced that it has opened two new Spar city stores in Deventer and Delft.
The format caters to transient shoppers, tourists, and neighbourhood residents, and is located in central, urban areas throughout the Netherlands.
New Stores
The new store in Deventer is owned by Martijn ten Berge, who also operates two other Spar city outlets in Zwolle and Zutphen.
The store in Delft in owned by Freek van Hengel, an independent retailer with more than 20 years of experience in the food retail sector.
The Format
Spar city stores offer an assortment of items including a wide range of food-to-go options, ready-to-use ingredients, and daily grocery items.
Presently, Spar operates more than 350 stores across the country and plans to launch 70 express stores and more city stores in the future.
