Spar Saudi Arabia has announced that it has opened two new supermarkets in the capital city, Riyadh.
The stores, located in upper-middle-class suburbs, will cater to both nationals and ex-pats, the retailer said.
Main Highlights
The main highlights of the stores include fresh bakery units, fruit and vegetable sections, a wide range of imported food items, and around 150 products from Spar’s own brand.
Both stores have been built to match world-class standards, with modern and dynamic store designs.
Located in high-traffic areas in Riyadh, the new Spar Aqiq store, close to the King Abdullah Financial District, is spread across an area of 3,600 square-metres, while the Spar Hamra store in King Abdullah Road occupies an area of around 3,600 square metres.
Partnership
Spar teamed up with the Al Sadhan Group, a well-established family owned business in Saudi Arabia, to launch its first three supermarkets in Riyadh in January of this year.
The partners also aim to open around 40 Spar stores in Saudi Arabia, by 2020.
