Swedish retailer ICA saw its sales rise 4.3% in June, compared to the previous year, to SEK 9,761 million excluding VAT, the retailer said in a statement.
Sales for the retailer from January-June 2016 amounted to SEK 54,507 million, an increase of 3.5% compared with the previous year.
ICA, which operates 1,299 stores across Sweden, saw growth across all its formats, with its Maxi ICA Stormarknad banner seeing like-for-like sales rise of 4.2%, ICA Kvantum seeing a sales rise of 4.0%, ICA Supermarket up 3.4% and ICA Nära up 4.6%.
ICA Gruppen estimates the calendar effect for June to be +0.5%.
