Swiss retailer Migros is looking to bolster its workforce.
Migros discussed its HR-strategy and the development of its staff at a group meeting earlier this month. With a total of 100,373 employees at the end of 2015, Migros is the biggest private employer in Switzerland. It has approximately 3,700 trainees.
The retailer itself employs around two thirds of the employees in the Migros Group. The group consists of 37 companies, which offer 1,200 apprenticeships per year in over 50 different jobs.
Around 50,700 employees in 40 companies benefit from the special Migros employment contract (L-GAV), which ensures family-friendly aspects and workforce equality.
