British grocery retailer Tesco has dropped the price of diesel at its 500 filling stations for the second time this month.
Drivers can now purchase a litre of diesel at Tesco for 97.7 pence - down 2 pence on its previous prices.
It is the second price drop on diesel by the retailer this year - the price of diesel was reduced to 99.7p on January 4th.
Speaking on the price drop, Peter Cattell, fuel director for Tesco said, “We know our customers really value low fuel prices and having diesel for 97.7p a litre will give our customers a big helping hand."
The reduction will mean customers can save money by shopping at Tesco, he added.
The supermarket said it will continue to review the price of its diesel, subject to changes in the oil markets and foreign exchange movements.
