Tesco has announced it has extended its Delivery Saver subscription service for online orders, introducing monthly membership plans.
The retailer says that on the new plan, customers can save up to £20 a month and receive unlimited deliveries of Tesco groceries.
Adrian Letts, Managing Director of Tesco Online, said, “We want to make it as easy as possible for customers to shop online with Tesco. More and more customers are choosing Delivery Saver because of the convenience and value it offers, especially the access to free home delivery and click and collect.
"By giving customers the option of a monthly plan we hope to welcome even more shoppers to the service.”
The new plan means customers don’t have to commit to a six month or yearly plan when subscribing to Delivery Saver.
Online Shopping
The service is proving popular with its customers, with a reported 25% increase in subscribers over the past year. The biggest increase comes from ‘families who are looking for the convenience of online food shopping’.
Tesco confirmed customers can use Clubcard points to pay for their Delivery Saver plan. It also said if its plan costs more than customers would have spent on delivery charges, they are refunded the difference through the Delivery Saver guarantee (they are given a grocery eCoupon for the difference).
Tesco also recently extended its same-day click and collect service for online orders. It allowed customers to place their orders and collect them at earlier times in the day.
