Tesco is to open a dog-grooming facility in one of its Cardiff supermarkets with a view to making the service available in its supermarkets across the United Kingdom, independent.ie reports.
The decision is informed by the growing frequency with which consumers make more trips to supermarkets and purchase fewer goods on each occasion, as well as the expansion of dog-grooming as an industry in Britain.
A Tesco spokesperson commented, “We’re always looking at new ways our stores can best serve the needs of local customers, so we decided to trial introducing some great brands to five stores [high street retailers Dorothy Perkins, Burtons and Evans] which complement our existing offer, including plans for a Pet Den at our Culverhouse Cross store in Cardiff.”
