Tesco’s HR director for Ireland and the UK, Judith Nelson, is to leave her position, which is responsible for overseeing the largest private sector workforce in Britain of some 300,000 employees, independent.co.uk reports.
This follows the very recent departure of Jill Easterbrook, its group business transformation director. Easterbrook and Nelson have worked for Tesco for 15 years and 22 years respectively.
The company’s business support director, Natasha Adams, will assume Nelson’s current role, which she has held since 2011.
"After 22 years at the company, UK and ROI people director, Judith Nelson, has decided to develop her career outside of Tesco. Judith has been a core member of the team for many years and we'd like to thank her for her valuable contribution," Tesco commented.
Nelson joined Tesco at an entry level, and ascended to its domestic HR directorship after a period away from the company which immediately preceded her final job.
