Tesco is setting up card decoration stations in 100 of its UK stores for Mother’s Day weekend to give budding young artists the chance to make their own cards.
From this Saturday (March 5), the participating Tesco outlets will have crayons, glitter glue and accessories on hand to help children create personalized Mother’s Day cards.
Kids will also get the chance to hunt down the perfect ingredients to make a delicious breakfast in bed. The retailer has come up with three easy-to-follow recipes, including a yoghurt pot with berry and oats, croissants with cheese and ham, and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon.
Emma Renshaw, Campaign and Comms Manager at Tesco commented, "We know children love to make their own special cards for Mother’s Day, so we’ll be providing kids with a helping hand this weekend.
"We’ve also made it fun and simple for children to pick up some delicious ingredients for that special Mother’s Day breakfast in bed, with Dad’s help of course!"
A wide range of gifts will also be available in store, including decorate-you-own-cookie kits for children (continuing the handmade theme), and freshly cut flowers, champagne and chocolate for adults looking for last minute gifts.
