Carrefour France has appointed a new chief communications officer in the form of Philippe Thobie, former director of marketing for Monoprix, who will succeed Thierry Pelissier, lsa-conso.fr reports.
The appointment was announced last week. Thobie's role incorporates the portfolios of media and advertising, market research, and external relations. As a member of Carrefour’s executive committee, he will report to Noël Prioux, executive director of Carrefour France.
Previously, Thobie held the position of director of marketing and communication for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Alcatel; brand director and director of marketing for FNAC; a consultant for Groupe PPR’s brand management division; and brand director and director of marketing at Monoprix.
