Food and beverage brands accounted for half of Portugal's top ten favourite consumer brands, as voted by Portuguese consumers.
The Meaningful Brands Portugal 2017 survey from Havas Media Group polled 12,000 Portuguese consumers and asked them which of 110 national and international brands they would miss the most if they disappeared.
Ice cream brand Olá featured at number three, just behind Google and YouTube, reported Portuguese daily Observador.
The other four food and beverage brands listed in the top ten were Compal (juices and nectars), Mimosa (dairy products), Nestlé and Danone.
The participants evaluated a maximum of five random brands based on the performance of the products, the experience they had as a user and the brand's reputation of the product.
The most relevant sectors for those polled were Internet & Media, Transportation, Food, Consumer Goods, Retail and Drinks.
