Serbian grocery retailer Univerexport has opened its first partner store in Banatsko Novo Selo, in the north of the country.
This represents a completely new business model for the retailer, which so far owns all of the stores in its network.
The partner will manage the outlet according to Univerexport's standards, with a specific product assortment adapted to the new store. In addition to being marketed under the company's brand name, the partner shop will also receive more visibility and recognition.
Expansion Plans
The new store in Banatsko Novo Selo is the fourth that the retailer has opened since the start of 2017, following openings in Novi Sad, Petrovaradin and Indjija.
Univerexport currently operates 136 stores of different formats, mainly in the northern Serbian province of Vojvodina.
