A Carrefour Market supermarket in Saint-Marcel, Paris, has been given an 'urban chic' makeover, which includes the installation of checkout that is used specifically for the sale of organic produce, as well as sundry other SKUs.
The 1,334-square-metre store will place extra emphasis on fresh produce, Carrefour said. The object of the revamp is to enable the store to 'serve its customers as effectively as possible'.
At its ‘organic’ point of sale, shoppers can 'purchase products in bulk, dietary products and high-quality wines (including a number of prestigious vintages)', Carrefour said. The store also runs a delivery service, is equipped with a carpark, and boasts an 'innovative trolley system'.
The supermarket is staffed by 85 people, and trades from 9am to 10pm, Monday through Saturday.
