Italian retail group VéGé has announced it will be working with a new regional partner from January 2017, expanding its presence in the Campania region.
Supermercati Piccolo is an important player in the regional wholesale distribution and retail market, active mainly in the Naples area.
The new partners have a sales network consisting of 13 outlets, including small grocery stores, supermarkets and cash & carry sites, comprising a total net area of 12,270 square metres.
The company is also active in food production and its assets include a sugar factory.
Supermercati Piccolo is expected to end 2016 with a turnover of over €150 million.
VéGé Group consists of 32 partners (compared to 25 in 2015), operating 2,516 stores, with a total retail area of over 1.18 million square metres.
New partners that joined in 2016 include Supermercati Tosano Cereal, Bava, Asta, Fratelli Arena, Multicedi, Dolcitalia-Svive and ConvìGeda.
