UK retailer Waitrose says that its Business to Business unit has expanded the range of products it exports to Hong Kong over the last 20 years, through its partnership with ParknShop.
Since the first delivery, new products have been included, such as smoked salmon, bacon, chicken and organic cheese. The traditional ones are still on sale, however, including Indian ready meals, chopped tomatoes, confectionery, muesli and preserves.
Top sellers in the Hong Kong market include 'essential Waitrose' Bourbon biscuits and 'Duchy Organic' flour.
Established Brands
The retailer says that its 'Waitrose 1' private label brand has been a success in Hong Kong, with spaghetti lunghi, free range sausages and blood orange juice being particularly popular.
Today, Waitrose's ranges are available in 150 of ParknShop’s stores.
"Its great to reach this milestone," said Barry Delehanty, general manager of Waitrose Business to Business.
"While originally a brand for expats, Waitrose products are now well established and recognised in Hong Kong by locals and expats alike as a quality range of everyday staples and food for special occasion."
Waitrose Business to Business exports to 53 countries and territories worldwide.
