Since opening its doors in Scotland, in 2006, Waitrose has expanded to seven stores across the country and stocks more than 800 Scottish lines from over a hundred suppliers.
In its 10 years in Scotland, Waitrose has doubled the number of Scottish lines it stocks and has also introduced dozens of Scottish producers into distribution throughout the UK.
Among the suppliers who secured UK-wide listings after initially supplying Waitrose stores in Scotland are Findlater's Fine Foods, Mo's Cookie Dough, Stoats and Just:Gluten Free.
Waitrose also supports Scottish agriculture and aquaculture sectors, sourcing all counter beef from Scottish farmers, 10 million eggs each year from Scottish egg farmers and milk from Graham's Dairy.
Waitrose continued use of Scottish producers has had a significant impact on employment in many of these companies, with the retailer hiring 1,200 employees across its seven Scottish stores.
