As a result of the recent spell of good weather in the UK, retailer Waitrose has seen its spirits and wine sales soar.
According to Harpers.co.uk, champagne sales have been on the rise, while rosé sales are up 43 per cent.
The warm weather in early July also helped boost the supermarket's overall sales by 6.2 per cent, in comparison to July 2014.
As reported by Harpers, Waitrose's commercial director, Mark Williamson, stated, "Pimm's sales jumped an incredible 137 per cent, rosé sales leapt by 43 per cent, while gin sales increased by 34 per cent.
"We also saw record-breaking beer sales, with bottled beer up 47 per cent, and mixers were up by 67 per cent."
