UK retailer Waitrose & Partners has named Ross Avery as its new finance director and member of its management board, effective 28 January 2019.
Avery will report to the managing director of Waitrose & Partners, Rob Collins, and the group finance director for the John Lewis Partnership, Patrick Lewis.
Commenting on the appointment, Collins, said, "Ross is a talented, high calibre leader with the wide experience and deep understanding of our business that will make him a terrific FD."
An Experienced Professional
Avery is a John Lewis veteran, and has held several leadership positions in the organisation.
In 2013, he was appointed as the head of strategy, after which he spent three years as the group's eCommerce Director.
In March of 2018, he was named transformation director at Waitrose & Partners.
