Spar Hungary has announced that its Érd outlet has received the Spar International Store of the Year 2017 award in the hypermarket category for the third time.
Spar reports that it won the award for its customer service, range of products, sustainability, quality of services, interior store layout, and its ‘focus on delivering best local offer’.
Márk Maczelka, head of communications at Spar Hungary, said, “We were very happy to receive the award, because such acclaims confirm that we are on the right track, and our developments are appreciated by both our customers and representatives of professional trade."
“All of the employees of Spar Hungary continue to work to ensure that we can expand, open new stores and modernise the existing ones. This year, we are going to spend more than HUF 23 billion (€74 million) for this purpose.”
Modern Retailer
The Érd hypermarket has a retail selling area of over 3,000 square metres and offers a number of services, including an electric car charger station, and mobile phone charging stations by the store’s entrance. The hypermarket also features a Spar To Go restaurant.
The store recently re-opened in March of this year after months of redevelopment and refurbishment.
