Spar UK has announced that it is responding to customers' demands for healthy snacks by introducing an on-trend private-label fruit, nut and seed snack line.
Shoppers have a choice of dried fruit, unsalted nuts or a mix of seeds, nuts and chocolate.
The 'eat-now' bags sell for £1, and include such choices as Brazil nuts, almonds and dried mango.
Larger resealable £2 bags are also now available in Spar UK stores, and include walnuts, dried mango and mixed nuts.
Susan Darbyshire, Spar UK brand director, said that healthy-snack sales are growing 12% year on year. “With the current trend for health and wellness, consumers are looking for alternative snacking options that meet their needs for a healthy, tasty treat."
"With all the best-sellers in the category available in the range, packaged in handy resealable bags, we’re confident this range will be a success for our retailers,” she said.
