Auchan is continuing to inject cash into its Polish infrastructure in the form of a new distribution centre, IGD Supply Chain Analysis has reported.
The new facility, which has been constructed in Mszczonów, occupies more than 47,000 square metres of floor space. It will be managed for Auchan by ID Logistics, one of the most prominent large-format logistics companies in France.
The centre will operate in conjunction with a non-food warehouse, also located in Mszczonów, and a temperature-regulated warehouse in neighbouring town Odrzywolek.
Auchan’s new supply-chain hub is capable of storing up to 54,000 pallets.
