The pallet and container pooling services firm CHEP has signed a new three-year contract with Kolak Snack Foods, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of premium handheld snack foods. Kolak Snack Foods supplies key players in retail and wholesale markets with both Kolak brands and private label products; the company manufactures products for many of the major retailers including Aldi, Asda, Lidl, Morrisons, Sainsbury's Somerfields, Sainsbury’s and Tesco and Waitrose.
Under its new three-year agreement with CHEP, Kolak will ship goods to customers on CHEP’s industry standard B1210A pallets and euro pallets with a total of 145,000 annual movements. “CHEP’s levels of service delivery are exceptionally high,” said RikinLakhani, commercial director at Kolak Snack Foods. “This demonstrates the benefits of long-lasting working relationships,” said CHEP country general manager UK & Ireland, Mike Pooley. “For Kolak to recognise the value we are able to add to its business in this way is very rewarding. Now I’m really looking forward to working with the Kolak team and exploring how we can develop our partnership further.”
CHEP’s customer portfolio includes global companies and brands such as Procter & Gamble, Sysco, Kellogg's, Kraft, Nestlé, Ford and GM. (7 Sept)
