France’s largest pork-meat producer by volume, Cooperl Arc Atlantique, has purchased 19 hectares of land in Plestan, near Lamballe (Côtes-d'Armor).
The company has reportedly invested more than €10 million in a new processing plant at the site, which is near completion.
Management at the company refused to comment further, as staff had yet to be informed, according to UsineNouvelle.com. Dozens of new positions will be created through this venture.
At present, Cooperl Arc Atlantique employs more than 5,000 staff, and has a turnover greater than €2 billion.
