Croatian meat processing company Gavrilović has signed new export deals with Spar and Metro in Austria, further expanding its presence on the European market.
The company already exports its products to Slovenia, Germany and the UK. Last year it signed the first distribution contract in Austria with Billa, in the segment of durable salami.
In an interview for daily Poslovni Dnevnik, export director, Jasmina Marić Cvijetinović, said that exports of durable goods from the company's premium segment are growing steadily. A second phase, namely the expansion of the Gavrilović product range, could take place as early as 2017.
Gavrilović currently produces over 200 products, divided up among three brands – Gavrilović, Gavita and Gala.
The company ended 2015 with HRK 953.3 million (€126.86 million) in revenue and HRK 55.5 million (€7.38 million) of net profit.
