German food group Dr.Oetker has invested €9.5 million to open its first plant in Serbia, located in Simanovci, near Belgrade.
The plant's capacity is 6,000 tonnes per annum.
As well as Serbia, products developed at the facility will be sold in Kosovo, Montenegro, Macedonia and Albania.
The factory is located in Dr. Oetker’s existing business complex in the country, of 8,000 square metres.
Dr. Oetker is a family-owned enterprise, manufacturing baking powders, baking mixes, dessert mixes, cereals, conserves, frozen pizza, frozen pizza snacks, yogurts, chilled desserts and other products.
The company has been operating in Serbia since 2001.
