Greek seafood supplier Nireus Aquaculture has been awarded an Exceptional Award at the Supply Chain Awards 2018, held in Greece.
It was awarded the distinction in the Primary Sector category (Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, Mining), specialising in the Application and Use of New Technologies, Internet of Things applications, and innovative practices across all production chain links.

The prize was granted during the awards ceremony, which was held at the Ariadni Estate, in Varibobi, Greece, on Tuesday 5 June 2018.
The awards were organised by the Supply Chain Institute and Boussias Communications, under the auspices and special support of the Hellenic Logistics Company, aiming to highlight excellence and innovation in the supply chain, as well as in logistics.
At the awards ceremony, the most outstanding projects and initiatives from companies and organisations were awarded for their excellence in this significant and major sector of the national economy.
Taking advantage of the new Internet of Things technology and cloud opportunities, in conjunction with the use of data analytics and predictive modelling applications, Nireus has developed an environment that strengthens the immediacy of its decisions and the efficiency of its production chain processes.
