Five leading Italian food companies have joined forces to create 'Gradita - Italian Food Traditions', a new network of Italian food brands.
Divella (a producer of pasta, preserves and biscuits), Callipo (canned food and tuna), Gelateria Callipo (ice cream), Coricelli (olive oil) and Polli (pickles) have teamed up to develop new concepts for the international food market.
The initiative is also expected to create synergies in the management of business contacts, in product design, in the opening of new foreign markets and in the organisation of trade fairs.
According to Divella CEO, Francesco Divella, the initiative was necessary, because in today’s globalized food market, the idea of “small company is the best” is not always right. “Only with the promotion of Mediterranean diet in the world, we can let our products’ quality and high nutritional values be known”, he added.
