Iceland has signed a deal with JDA Software to implement four of the category management solutions provider’s products, with the aim of optimizing sales and margins across its network of stores.
Iceland is set to begin its implementation of JDA Floor Planning, JDA Category Knowledge Base, JDA Assortment Optimization, and JDA Planogram Generator this month. The implementation will be hosted and managed by JDA Cloud Services.
Iceland has been using JDA’s space planning, and replenishment solutions for the past 20 years, helping it to grow to become a leader in frozen food with 860 stores across the UK and Ireland.
"As competition increases, Iceland continues to differentiate itself by recognising and meeting localised consumer preferences better than other retailers," commented Neil Hayes, merchandising and format development director at Iceland.
"By leveraging the power and automated capabilities of our new JDA solutions to produce store-specific planograms and tailored customer assortments, we are looking to drive increased sales and margins across all our stores."
Franck Lheureux, regional vice president, sales, EMEA, at JDA, added, "JDA has already partnered with Iceland to optimise its space planning and replenishment functions. Now we are embarking on the next era, as new Category Management solutions helps Iceland create localised assortments in a time- and cost-efficient manner."
