Indonesia’s Indofood has opened an instant-noodle factory in the northern Serbian town of Indjija as part of a €11-million project.
Noodles produced at the Indjija plant will be sold on the domestic market, but also exported to countries in the region.
The plant, the first Indonesian investment in Serbia, will initially employ 100 workers, while the number of employees is expected to rise to 500 once the investment is completed.
An estimated 90% of the raw materials for the factory will be bought from Serbian suppliers.
