Italy is set to get its third milk and dairy hub, similar to those at Granarolo and Parmalat.
The Board of Directors of Turin-based Centrale del Latte d'Italia have given the green light for the incorporation of the Centrale del Latte di Firenze, Pistoia e Livorno (Mukki Latte).
The new company will be listed on the Italian stock exchange and stocks will be traded by September 30. It will have a turnover of about €200 million and five production plants.
The deal will also facilitate the spin-off of the Mukki dairy firm and the creation of a new company, Centrale del Latte della Toscana, entirely controlled by Centrale del Latte d'Italia, registered and operating in Florence.
