Konzum To Promote Local Croatian Products

Croatian grocery retailer Konzum has embarked on a project to promote products from small, local producers all over the country.

Konzum has partnered with the group Mali Hrvatski Proizvođač (Small Croatian Producers) on the project 'Iz domaćih krajeva' ('From domestic regions'), offering around 500 products from more than 20 different categories, supplied by over 60 small producers.

The new offering will include local seasonal fruit and vegetables, cured meats, dairy, traditional desserts, bee products, and other delicacies specific to the areas from where they originate.

Local Offering

These products will be available only in the Super Konzum hypermarket in Dankovecka Street in Zagreb. The store has been redesigned to provide an area of 100 square metres dedicated to small domestic producers.

Konzum is helping members of Mali Hrvatski Proizvođač to sell their products, as well as the marketing and logistics associated with this project.

As well as the new domestic produce area, the Super Konzum in Dankovecka has been completely remodelled, and now includes a new fruit and vegetable department and a self-service bakery.
