Lactalis, the biggest dairy product group in the world, will open a new supply chain centre in the Parc Industriel de la Plaine de l’Ain, near Lyon.
This facility, to be used for SKU stocking and distribution, will serve retailers in the surrounding area. It spans 13,000 square metres, and will ‘respond to the current needs and developments of the Lactalis Group.’
The hub will exercise ‘total mastery’ of Lactalis’ logistics activities, and consolidate its operations in the Rhône-Alpes region.
About 100 people will be hired through a company recruitment drive, which will take place between September 2017 and April 2018.
