Dutch convenience wholesaler Lekkerland has appointed Dr. Jochen Großpietsch as its new chief supply chain officer, succeeding Kay Schiebur.
The company says that Großpietsch will now be responsible for its logistics, quality, facility management and digitalisation business units.

Großpietsch has worked at McKinsey & Company for seventeen years, advising over 200 companies in the global retail and consumer goods industry on optimising supply chains.
"Jochen will use his many years of experience and expertise to drive the development and digitalisation of the services we provide to our customers," said Patrick Steppe, CEO of Lekkerland.
Lekkerland services around 90,000 points of sale in six European countries, including service stations, kiosks, convenience stores, bakeries, food retailers, and quick service restaurants. The company posted sales of €13 billion in 2016.
